Atithi Satkaram Siddhi Cine Uttarakhand Production’s producer Pooja Singh said that the main objective of this web series is to show the culture and traditions of the mountains and the impact of today’s urbanization on them, along with this, it is an effort to connect mountain artists with Hindi cinema. Apart from Mumbai, Delhi, most of the artists from hilly areas like Haldwani, Almora, Kotdwar etc. will be seen acting in this web series. In the music, you will get to hear bhajans and Holi songs of Govind Digari and Khushi Joshi. Web series’ Director of Photography Dhruv Tyagi said that this web series will be the first web series on the Uttarakhand environment, made in a special way with state-of-the-art digital cameras, track trolley, drones and lights.

“Aina” (The Mirror) is a touching story set in a remote Uttarakhand village. It portrays a family struggling through poverty, illness, and migration — yet bound together by love and resilience.
Maa has been suffering from paralysis for ten years. Her son Gopiya works as a daily-wage laborer with a local mason, while his wife Gainda takes care of both the household and the bedridden mother, along with their little son Aina.
During his daily routine, Gopiya meets the headmaster of the village primary school, who reveals that due to a lack of children, the school is on the verge of shutting down — a powerful symbol of the migration crisis emptying the Himalayan villages.
Through simple imagery — a basket (Tokri) filled with fruits (Phal) — the film mirrors human life: filled with labor, sweetness, and decay. “Aina” becomes a mirror to society — reflecting how many children today abandon their aged parents, sending them to old-age homes to maintain their ‘status’.
Ultimately, “Aina” reminds us that the real beauty of life lies not in luxury or pride, but in care, empathy, and unconditional love.
